5 Marketing Use Cases You can try with AI & MCP Right Now

I frequently discuss emerging trends in AI here on my blog, and one that's truly transforming the AI economy is Model-Context Protocol, or MCP. This isn't just another buzzword; imagine an AI that can orchestrate almost every digital service you use daily – think your email, cloud storage, social media, and thousands of other applications – all working together to accomplish whatever task is on your mind.

By connecting your AI, be it Claude or, more recently, ChatGPT, to these services with just a few clicks, you can give it surprisingly complex instructions.

For instance, you could simply say, “Check the latest news about tariffs and their impact on my business, then send me a digest.” And with AI's scheduling abilities, I believe you can even set these ad-hoc requests to run automatically.

What truly sets MCP apart from the workflow automation we're already familiar with is that your request doesn't end there; you receive the results and can then continue chatting and digging deeper, using the same AI tools, until your request is completely fulfilled.

I'm keen to encourage everyone, not just tech folks like myself, to embrace these technologies. That's why I've been experimenting with MCP in various industries, aiming to make the entry barrier as low as possible. The impact is genuinely massive, and frankly, why spend hours doing something AI can nail for you in mere minutes?

To help you get started, I've put together 5 compelling use cases you can try using Claude or ChatGPT.

Please note that most of these will require you to have existing accounts for the corresponding MCP tools, such as Gmail or HubSpot, and you'll find all the necessary information within those examples. Before you dive in, ensure you've added these essential tools to your chatbot – I've primarily used Claude so far myself. You can find all the details on how to set this up by checking out my recent tutorial on Activepieces, which is one of the most powerful open-source MCP platforms available on the internet. If you use other MCP platforms, you might find similar tools there.

Please note that these use cases are just examples of how you can combine different tools to achieve your goal. Feel free to experiment with other variations as you wish.
